Hello, I’m Araash, and this is my fourth year on the build team. I’ve appreciated all that I have been able to individually and collectively accomplish as part of Nemesis. From learning general mechanical skills from now-gone senior teammates to conducting scouting and match strategy at competitions as Strategy Lead last year (ongoing), I am grateful for my experiences and resulting growth. 

In my last year of robotics, I will continue leading strategy, do more volunteering (outside of Discovery/Engineering days), and establish a legacy on this team by preparing the next set of Nemesis leaders.

I am interested in the intersection of business and technology. I’ve formulated this interest as I’ve engaged in my sneaker business (ZAPARAASH), a clothing business I manage with friends (Crushers), and my time here, among several other things. In my engagements, I have fused different concepts (primarily business- and technology-related ones) by, for example, developing the Crushers website in html, css, and js and incorporating search engine optimization principles for product titling on my sneaker site. This interdisciplinary nature is what I am learning about even in a corporate environment as a Morgan Stanley JumpStart Scholar. 

In college, I will study operations, industrial engineering (or a more broad field, if needed), and business and then pursue a career in a related field. During college, I will create a financial management platform startup, which my selected areas of study will best prepare me for. 

Robotics has taught me a lot, but most importantly, I have learned how to adopt a growth mindset by practicing consistent improvement, something that will stick with me throughout life. Here’s to our last and most-improved year!
