Hammad Farooqi
Class of 2023

Hi, My name is Hammad Farooqi and I am the Strategy Co-Lead this year. My first year on the robotics team was cut short and my second year was held virtually, and although both years were incredibly fun and successful, I can’t wait to finally finish out a normal, in-person robotics season!

If I had to summarize what I’ve learned from robotics over the last three years, I would say that you should never forget where you put the Limelight, because if you do, Mr. Wolfe will never let you hear the end of it. More importantly, it would be that you can only really fail if you quit. Regardless of if you spend a week realizing every idea to wire the turret has some major issue, if you have a Limelight 2.0 that somehow can never stay connected, if some phantom issue keeps killing communication with the radio, or if your robot’s intake breaks after every single match, there is always a solution around the corner. All it takes to reach that solution is perseverance, collaboration, and a ton of zip-ties.

If you see me outside of the tech lab, do a double-take because odds are I am in the tech lab, but if you really see me, you might see me playing game after game of online chess, playing video games, running way too many miles, or just driving around with friends. Aside from Nemesis, I am a part of many clubs and teams including Model United Nations, Chess Club, Cross Country, Executive Council, and more.
